Inside LedgerHQ

What Tally Actually Does for Your Business

Tally is not a chat window with opinions about your books. She works inside them. She reads the bank and card activity as it arrives, codes what she recognizes, researches what she does not, posts the entries, and works the reconciliation against your statement.

  • Codes the bank and card activity from your connected accounts
  • Posts the journal entries into your books
  • Works the reconciliations against your statements

How It Works

A Simpler Way to Keep the Books.

The work stays connected inside the same books, ready for you to review.

01

What It Costs, Including the AI

LedgerHQ is $20 a month per business: the ledger, bank feeds, reconciliations, reports, and Tally doing the bookkeeping, with her AI use included each month. You pay the same whether you are a business owner or an accounting firm — no small-business tier, no minimum, no contract.

  • $20 a month per business, with Tally doing the work
  • Your first six bank accounts included, $1 a month each after that
  • Tally's AI use included, and you can see exactly what it has used
02

When You Want a Professional, You Do Not Start Over

Most business owners eventually want an accountant — for a tricky year, for a loan package, for the growth that makes bookkeeping a real job. On most software that means exporting your history, handing over a file, and paying someone to clean up the seam.

  • Same platform your firm would use anyway
  • No export, no conversion, no cleanup engagement
  • Your reconciled history stays intact
03

Getting Started Takes an Evening, Not a Project

Create the account with your business name, then connect your bank and card accounts through Plaid. LedgerHQ seeds a standard chart of accounts, and Tally starts on the activity as it comes in.

Coding the bank activityA screen full of rows waiting for you to pick a category. Tally codes it. You see the handful it could not settle on its own.
Reconciling to the statementYou tick and tie, or you skip it and hope. Tally works the reconciliation and shows you the difference.
Monthly financialsYou run a report and hope the categories were right. Statements come out of books that were reconciled, not just filled in.

Questions, Answered

Straight Answers for Owners.

Is LedgerHQ real accounting software or a categorizing app?

It is real accounting software: chart of accounts, journal entries, account registers, bank reconciliations, and standard financial statements. Tally posts into that ledger rather than keeping a separate list on top of it, which is why the statements she produces hold up when an accountant or a lender reads them.

How much does it cost for a small business?

The same as for anyone else: $20 a month per business, which includes Tally's AI use. Your first six bank accounts are included; each one after that is $1 a month. There is no small-business surcharge, no minimum, and no annual commitment.

Will I get a surprise AI bill?

No. Tally's AI use is included each month, and the app shows how much you have used at any time. If you want more, you buy it up front — $25 of use for $26, where the extra dollar covers the card processing fee. We do not mark up AI use, so we have no reason to run yours up, and nothing bills you after the fact.

Do I still need an accountant?

For a tax return, and for real judgment calls, usually yes. LedgerHQ sells software, not bookkeeping labor. What it changes is that the routine work is already done and the books are already reconciled when your accountant opens them — and if you would rather hand the books over entirely, a LedgerHQ accounting firm can take them over in place.
