About

Bookkeeping firms should not need another hire for every ten clients.

Most bookkeeping is repetitive, and most bookkeeping software still asks a person to touch nearly every step of it. LedgerHQ exists to let the routine work move on its own while bookkeepers spend their time on the exceptions and decisions that deserve them.

Built for firms

The product begins with one firm managing many separate company books, not with a single business owner.

Accounting first

Automation works through a real double-entry ledger, not a categorization layer bolted to a bank feed.

Deliberately narrow

We do the work between the bank feed and the financial statements, and we do not pretend to do the rest.

01

The problem we started from

Ask any bookkeeping firm what limits growth and the answer is people. Not demand, not pricing — capacity. Every new client arrives with hundreds of transactions that somebody has to look at.

Software has automated exactly one part of that: getting the transactions onto a screen. Everything after it is still staffed. That is the gap LedgerHQ was built to close.

02

Why the AI has to live in the ledger

A separate assistant cannot safely finish accounting work from pasted summaries. It cannot see the prior reconciliation, respect a period lock, or guarantee a balanced entry.

Tally is built into LedgerHQ so it can use the chart, journal, bank activity, statements, reconciliations, requests, and reports to complete a real job — and so its work can be reviewed like anyone else's.

03

Who we are

LedgerHQ is a service of Tax Planner Pro, LLC, built by a team that has spent years shipping software to accounting professionals.

We would rather be the best product for firm bookkeeping than an adequate product for everything a business does.

Questions

What firms usually ask.

Who makes LedgerHQ?

LedgerHQ is built and operated by Tax Planner Pro, LLC, based in Bonita Springs, Florida.

What does LedgerHQ not do?

LedgerHQ is not payroll, inventory, CRM, project accounting, or tax preparation software, and it does not attempt consolidated multi-entity reporting with intercompany eliminations. Firms needing those keep using dedicated systems.

Is LedgerHQ open source or self-hosted?

No. LedgerHQ is a hosted product. Your firm's data stays in our managed infrastructure, and you reach it through the app, the REST API, or the MCP server.
